Finding Balance for Life...
A Rose...For Me?  Why, Thank You!!

Here at Classical Youth Ballet, we believe in "Finding Balance for Life" in not only our classical ballet technique, but also our every day lives.  Our dancers ages 3 through College come here to explore, learn, and create balance in our positive, nurturing classroom.
Why ballet?  It's a beautiful and exciting way to meet new friends, create confidence, develop good thinking and motor skills, develop an appreciation for the arts, and learn age-appropriate movement set to beautiful classical music.  Our instructors are compassionate and loving, making sure each dancer understands they are just as important as their fellow class mates!
We believe in giving a child the chance to explore and enhance concentration, along with building discipline in a visual art that exhibits grace, character, and poise.  We believe there is enough noise in the world and we are here to help weave into their lives and into the community everything that is good and wholesome.

Learn about our Early Childhood Program (ages 3 through 6), our Elementary Program (ages 7 through 10), our Intermediate Program (ages 11 through 14), and our Advanced Program (ages 15 through College, including Adult).  Come be a part of something truly great and join our ballet family!

Our Nutcracker 2021 Performances at the Box Elder High School were amazing!
Our dancers' poise, grace, and beauty came shining through as we watched them take the stage after almost two years. It was an honor to be a part of their journey as they shared their heartfelt gifts with us!

Dear CYB Families,

I want to take the time to let you know how precious each and every one of your dancers is to me. Each one of them has their own special way of being, and it is perfect for them. I see their greatness, their light, their spirit, their radiance, their perseverance, their creativity, their magnificence. I am in awe every day that I get to work with them. I send love and prayers to each of you and your loved ones  and hope you know how much you mean to me and my own family.  As I performed my "retirement dance" on the beautiful stage of the Peery Egyptian Theatre in Ogden, Utah, I hope you felt my heartfelt gratitude and love for you and your dancers.

As we begin a new era with the studio, I have hand picked every teacher and continue to be in the tapestry of every decision made for the studio.  I continue to travel from southern Utah to beautiful Brigham City once a month as I now step into a mentorship role for our beautiful teachers.  I continue as Artistic Director of Classical Youth Ballet. My Studio Director is Miss Brooklyn Atkinson and Front Office Manager is Ms. Amy Hobbs.  We are grateful for our amazing teachers: Ms. Megan Talamantez (Ballet 4 & Upper Division), Miss Tylee Jackman (All levels-Ms. Michelle's daughter), Miss Brooklyn Atkinson (All levels), Miss Amy Hobbs (3&4 year olds), and Ms. Natalie Stallings (Ages 3 through 8 and Classroom Behavior Specialist). Our teachers, collectively, bring ABT Certification, Leap'N Learn (Early Childhood Development) Certifications, Associate's Degrees and Bachelor's Degrees to bring you and your dancers a wealth of knowledge!  We are also grateful to our Costume Department: Ms. Caroline Hizer and Ms. Camille Hone - they are master creators for our two performances we put on each year (Nutcracker in December and Year-End Finale Performances in early May).

I am full of gratitude for the many amazing lessons we have learned and continue to learn as we navigate this world through Covid.  As we each continue on this journey, I hope we will continue to honor and respect our paths as we find our new normal.  May we continue to move forward learning and growing on so many different levels as we continue "Finding Balance for Life!"

My Heart to Yours,

Ms. Michelle
