EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM (3 TO 7 YEARS OLD)

ELEMENTARY PROGRAM (BALLET 1 & BALLET 2: 8 TO 11 YEARS OLD)

To enroll in Ballet 1:  Must be 8 years old and may take 1-2x/week. 

To enroll in Ballet 2/Pre-pointe class, the dancer must take class 2x/week and have Director approval.

INTERMEDIATE PROGRAM (BALLET 3 & BALLET 4:  12 YEARS OLD & UP)

Must be 12 years old and take 2x/week, be at a beginning/intermediate pointe level, and have Director approval. 

UPPER DIVISION PROGRAM (13 YEARS THROUGH COLLEGE)

Must be 13 years old and be at an intermediate/advanced pointe level, and have Director approval. 

OPEN PROGRAM (10 YEARS THROUGH ADULT)

Floor Barre/Turns & Jumps.  Required class for YDT members Ages 10+ and Up.

PERFORMANCE PROGRAM (8 YEARS OLD & UP): ~ Enrollment by AUDITION ONLY.  YDT auditions held yearly.  Next audition date: MAY 4, 2019.

Ballet Camp! for Ages 3 to 7: July 31, Aug 1-2nd

Come Explore As A Princess Ballerina!

Each day our dancers will experience everything “ballerina” beginning with an art & craft, be transported into the story of the Princess Ballerina of the day, have a daily snack where they’ll learn Princess Manners, and learn how to dance like a ballerina. Your young dancers can get into the “spirit” by wearing their own costume & accessories – as long as their attire does not interfere with their ability to move! On the last day of the Camp, parents are invited to attend class and watch an “Enchanting Performance” from their ballerinas.  

Please remember…pictures & videos are welcome to help capture the magic!   

Tues, Wed, Thur: July 31, Aug 1 & 2

Dancers will take home a daily craft & Surprise 

on the last day of each camp!

WHAT TO BRING/WEAR: 

·       Princess or ballet outfit

·       Ballet shoes (we have shoes they can borrow if needed).

·       Hair up off their necks.

·       Plenty of enthusiasm!

·       Dancers will take home a craft at the end of each day AND a special Surprise on the last day of the camp!

·       Parent Demonstration on the last day of the Camp!

 

Summer Workshops Begin July 9th!

Ballet 1 & 2 & 3

(Ages 8 to 12)

This workshop encourages opportunities for your dancer to flourish in a fun & nurturing environment, cultivate new or existing friendships, and learn the art of classical ballet!  We will begin with floor barre/conditioning, daily ballet technique, and continue with pre-pointe/beginning pointe* work, ballet variations (learning a dance from a famous ballet), and choreography (dancers will learn to create their own ballet).  Dancers will also make their own performance preparation kits and learn how to sew ballet/pointe shoe ribbons! 

New Students welcome; no prior trainingnecessary.

Ms. Michelle, Owner/Director, is an ABT (AmericanBallet Theatre) certified teacher in Pre-Primary throughLevel 3.

Ballet 1&2&3 (Ages 8-12):          

MONDAY through THURSDAY 9:00-11:00 am

COST:  $55 per week OR $140.00 for ALL THREE WEEKS!

TUITION DUE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION.


Ballet 3 & 4/Upper Division

(Ages 13 to College)

This workshop encourages beautiful posture, body placement, musicality, and coordination consistent with ballet principles. We will offer daily floor barre, ballet technique, pointe* work, turns & jumps, variations & choreography.  Our goal is to create an engaging, appropriate, and challenging class that is age and development appropriate. New Students welcome; placement will be determined by Ms. Michelle.

*Pointe work: Students may begin pointe work only at the recommendation of Ms. Michelle.  Dancing en pointe requiresstrong technique, muscle control, mental readiness and maturity to avoidinjury.  As a child is growing, the bones in the feet are ossifying from softcartilage to strong bone. For thisreason, pointe work does not begin until a dancer is at least 12 years of age.

Ballet 3&4/Upper Division:           

MONDAY through THURSDAY 11:30-2:00 pm

COST:  $75 per week OR $195.00 for ALL THREE WEEKS!    

TUITION DUE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION.

WORKSHOPS:

WEEK 1:  July 9, 10, 11, 12

WEEK 2: July 16, 17, 18, 19

WEEK 3:  July 23, 25, 26, 27   

*No class on Tues, July 24th, Pioneer Day          

INFORMATION: 

·       Girls may wear a solid-colored leotard (any color), pink tights and pink leather ballet shoes.  Hair in a bun.  Boys may wear a solid-colored t-shirt, solid-colored shorts and white socks.

2018 Performance Ticket Contest Information

2018 PERFORMANCE TICKET CONTEST INFORMATION

Dear Families,

 

Tickets go on sale for our Finale Performance of “Mary Poppins” beginning Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 7:00 am through our online website!  Go to www.classicalyouthballet.comand click on the ticket link –OR—CALL 706-550-1416.  Our goal is to have every dancer sell at least 10 tickets each!

What is a Ticket Contest and how does it work?

·      Our Ticket Contest is a fun way to get your students involved in providing an audience for their special performance that they have worked all year to create! 

·      There will be 3 SPECIAL PRIZES for our 3 top ticket sellers (FIRST PLACE-AMERICAN GIRL DOLL)!

·      Ask family members, friends, neighbors, school teachers, hair dressers, etc. if they would like to watch you (or your dancer) perform at the Peery’s Egyptian Theater in Ogden, Utah on Thursday and Friday, June 14-15, 2018. 

·      Have the people who are purchasing your tickets place your STUDENT’S NAME in the online form that asks who should be credited for selling the tickets. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY WE KNOW TO CREDIT YOUR STUDENT FOR THEIR TICKET SALES.  Tickets sales for BOTH Dress Rehearsal and the Performance will be applied to the ticket contest this year.

·      Let them know tickets are $10.50 each for children ages 5-12 and $12.50 each for Adults (ages 13 & Up).  If tickets are purchased at the door, tickets will be $12.00 for children or $15.00 for Adults.

·      Please make sure the families you sell tickets to know that they MUST PRINT A PAPER TICKET IN ORDER TO BE SEATED. If they don’t have a printer – please let us know beforehand so that we can print the tickets for them and have them at Will Call for the performance. 

Please note all seats are Reserved Seating.  All tickets must be PURCHASED ONLINE OR OVER THE PHONE.  All Show Tickets and Ticket Fees (we are charged $1.40 per ticket by the ticket company) are nonrefundable.  The ticket contest will close at MIDNIGHT on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.  Tickets will still be available after this date; however, any tickets sold after this date will not count toward our ticket contest. 

Tickets will be on sale online beginning Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 7:00 am!

Register Now for Summer Classes!

Hello,

Thank you for inquiring about our studio online!  I am attaching our summer information here for you.  It's a great time to introduce our program!  

For our 3 to 7 year olds:  We offer two ballet camps in the summer where we have three different princesses that we focus on.  We begin with an art and craft, introduce the princess of the day, learn a princess ballet class and dance, and have a snack.  At the end of the 3 days, parents may come and watch while we show you what they've learned, play games, and enjoy a fun tea party treat! 

For our 8 year olds through College:  We offer 1, 2, or 3 weeks of summer classes beginning the second week of July.  We'll have daily ballet technique class; floor barre, conditioning, and flexibility class; choreography (learning how to create a dance or ballet); pre-pointe and pointe class; ballet variations class (learning a dance from a famous ballet); turns & jumps; as well as learn how to sew pointe shoe ribbons and creating a "performance preparation" kit (hair items, first-aid items, personal hygiene items, etc.).
